Youth Accounts

It’s Never Too Early to Start Teaching Financial Responsibility

At Modesto’s First FCU we welcome youths of any age to join the credit union family and we offer three different options to best fit the needs of your family.

Minor Account for Children 0-12

Dividends paid quarterly and 2.02% APY** on balances from $200.00 to $1,000.00 (balances over $1,000.00 are paid the standard dividend rate)

Youth Account for Children 13-18

Dividends paid quarterly and 2.02% APY** on balances from $200.00 to $1,000.00 (balances over $1,000.00 are paid the standard dividend rate)
FREE checking account and debit card, with maximum card controls set by a responsible adult on the account
FREE access to M1FCU digital banking platform (mobile and online)

Custodial Account for Children 0-18

Dividends paid quarterly and 2.02% APY** on balances from $200.00 to $1,000.00 (balances over $1,000.00 are paid the standard dividend rate)
Only the custodian (parent or legal guardian) can make withdrawals from the account to protect the balance until the parent authorizes transfer
